Phases of the Moon Activities

The students demonstrated and illustrated the phases of the moon.

A Sundial Uses a Shadow to Mark Time

The students constructed a sundial to show the hour of a day.

Parents and Guardians I found some awesome websites to view the phases of the moon. Also Wednesday, October 8 weather permitting we will be able to observe a total lunar eclipse. The total lunar eclipse will be visible at 6:25 a.m.

Exploring the Night Sky

Last week I read Stargazers by Gail Gibbons to the class. After reading the story the students were able to explore two apps on my I-pad, Sky Map and Google Sky. Both of these apps can be downloaded onto your computer or smartphone.
